Rules and Etiquette

ABC members shall abide by the rules and etiquette of the club.

 

Club rules and etiquette are as follow:​

• Please stay home if you are not feeling well.  You will be asked to wear a mask if there is evidence of cough, sneezing and/or other symptoms of respiratory infection. 

• Frequent hand sanitizing is encouraged. 

• Membership fee paid is not refundable.

• All ABC participants are required to sign a waiver. Youth participants shall have their waivers signed by parent/guardian during registration. 

• ALL participants are strongly encouraged to wear protective eyewear (prescription glasses are acceptable) during badminton coaching lessons or free play.

• ABC participants will have access to school gym approximately 10 minutes prior to class start and must vacate the school premise 10 minutes after end of class. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay in the gym to observe. 

• Parents/guardian will respect coaching in progress. Interfering with coaches is strongly discouraged. 

• ABC participants are required to bring their own badminton racquets, wear non-marking indoor gym shoes and proper sports attire. 

• Tie back long hair and pin up long bangs. 

• Bad behaviour will not be tolerated and offenders may be asked to vacate the gym immediately. Parent/guardian of the offender will be asked to come pick up their child(ren). 

• Be respectful when using cell phone during coaching. 

• Nylon shuttles are provided to ABC participants during play.

• Water in sealed vessel for hydration is allowed in the gym

• Instead of hand shaking at the conclusion of games, players will gently tap each others' badminton racquets
